A/N: This took way longer than intended and Is way longer but well…. The story had life of its own. 

Once upon a time, there lived a prince named Bolin. When Bolin was born, a horrible drought struck the city and for months the city suffered with many people starving. Finally the king had had enough and sought a sage for the solution to their woes.

“Oh wise sage! Please help us,” cried Bolin’s father, “My people die of hunger from a plague of the land. The soil has grown barren and no fruit will the earth produce, oh please wise sage what must I do to ensure the health of my people?” The Sage thought for a moment and said calmly to the humbled King, “Take your newborn son to the dragon’s lair on the mountain. There you will leave your son as a sacrifice to the beast. If you do this, your land shall produce harvest more plentiful than any before.” The King loved his son very much and did not want to part from him, certainly not for some beast to eat, but his people relied on him. So on that same night, tears in his eyes, the King took his only son to the dragon’s lair and left the child as sacrifice. Within weeks of the sacrifice the ground began to spring forth plants and soon afterwards bountiful harvests blessed the land. All soon forgot of Bolin, even the King and Queen had children and for centuries the harvests seemed to get larger and larger. What no one knew was that the Dragon that Bolin had been sacrificed too, had died long before the famine struck the kingdom.
